Symptoms:
SMTPBeamer is running as a console application without any problems, but when running as a service errors are reported. Cause: The account you use to start the service doesn't have enough rights to use RAS or the Internet or the Proxy. Solution: Start the service with Administrator or the account you use to logon onto Windows NT and then it should work. |

Symptoms: The logfile shows Error: Unable to start inbound HTTP connection manager Error: Port or address already in use [10048]
Cause: SMTPBeamer can't bind to port 80 because there is already an IIS running on this port. Solution: SMTPBeamer runs on the Exchange machine: You haven't bound IIS to a different port like port 81. SMTPBeamer runs on a different machine: Most likely the SMTP server of IIS ( Internet Information Server ) is running. |
